Portugal escondido - Uma serpente em socalcos.
O Rio Varosa deu o mote para que se construísse uma barragem perto de Lamego.
E a barragem deu o mote para que se construísse uma escadaria.
São escadas tão a pique que a diferença entre corrê-las ou fazer alpinismo não é grande. Um corta recorta num escarpado vale de granito bem emoldurado pelos vales lamecenses.

The Varosa River set the tone for a dam to be built near Lamego.
And the dam set the tone for a staircase to be built.
Stairs are so steep that the difference between running them and climbing is not great. A cut cuts in a steep granite valley well framed by the Lamecenses valleys.
