Ponte da Barca é uma bonita Vila do Norte de Portugal, localizada numa região abençoada pela natureza, pautada pelo verde da rica vegetação e pela calma do Rio Lima.
O nome Ponte da Barca, provém do facto de antigamente não existir a ponte e a ligação entre as duas margens se fazer com uma barca.
