Income tax in Norway is a progressive tax on gross salary and other personal income.Similar to the UK as more money you earn as higher tax you pay.

Norwegians pay some of the highest taxes in the world. But they love taxes so much, they even called them treasure (skatt) ????
The Norwegians often make jokes about high taxes but they never complain about them.

Because tax is seen as a way of sharing wealth, investing into infrastructure and supporting great quality life for all Norwegian population.

Average income tax in Norway is 22%.

Of course it will depend on your profession and the years of your experience.
As more experience you have as better you are in your profession as higher your compensation will be. Norwegians do appreciate skills a lot.

For example,

If you are a part of Accommodation and Meals Sector of economy which includes hotels and restaurants, your average monthly income will be 32 510 NOK = $3 722 US Dollars = €3 212

But if you are working within Financial and insurance activities sector of economy your monthly income will be about $7 908 US Dollars or €6 824 per month (69 070 NOK)



A person working in Norway typically earns around 612 000 NOK per year, which is approximately $70 029 US Dollars or €60 458
