In the north of Alentejo, about 10 km northwest of Castelo de Vide and 25 km north of Portalegre, is the Póvoa e Meadas dam, taking advantage of the waters of the Nisa stream.
In the reservoir there are granite rocky outcrops that not only give it some beauty but also serve for some birds to rest.

No norte alentejano, a cerca de 10 km a noroeste de Castelo de Vide e 25 km a norte de Portalegre, fica a barragem de Póvoa e Meadas, aproveitando as águas da ribeira de Nisa.
Na albufeira surgem afloramentos rochosos graníticos que não só lhe conferem alguma beleza como servem para algumas aves descansarem.
