The amazing Ontong Java visited Rat Island in the Tagus estuary!! Such an iconic vessel right on my playground! Edgar sailed by the day before and told me Ontong Java was there and of course I had to go and check it out!! It's not everyday one sees a 75ft Polynesian canoe!!
Grabbed my Goat Island Skiff and sailed to Rat Island.
Hans saw me and shouted "Hey!!! I know you!!" to what I replied "Cool!! ...'cause I know you too!!" ????
He immediately invited me aboard for a cup of coffee and... well have a look at the video, an image is worth a thousand words!
