Tower is a monument that marks the highest point of Mainland Portugal. It is located in a mountain range named Serra da Estrela.
The actual elevation of this area is 1993 metres (6637 feet), near the Tower, there are a restaurant, stores with typical products of this region, like the Serra da Estrela cheese.

Serra da Estrela Ski Resort
It is a small ski resort with 4 ski lifts with 130 metres (426 feet) of vertical descent and 9 pistes, with a total length of 7.7 km (5 mi). Is best suited to beginner skiers and snowboarders but there is some terrain for both expert and intermediates.
