I did not expect this, but the Azores has won my heart as one of my favourite destinations. It was beautiful and peaceful and I loved every minute of being there!

We flew into Ponta Delgada and made a home base at Sete Cidades for 3 days. We visited Furnas and all the hot springs, the Gorreana tea factory and explored multiple trails around Sete Cidades.
Next stop was Pico with the intention of climbing the tallest volcano in the Azores. Unfortunately due to weather conditions, it didn't work out (we will be back for you, Pico!). We then took a ferry to Sao Jorge and spent our remaining few days on that beautiful island. Wine, cheese, hiking, canyoning, wine, cheese etc... Aventour Azores canyoning is a must do by the way - we had a blast!! And shoutout to Don Amelia pizza - the pizza is out of this world and so is her incredible hospitality.

The Azores now has a very special place in my heart and I cannot wait to be back!!!
