Sailing to Providencia, I decided to take a route that most avoid. I took the advice of seasoned sailors, and with Rui, we were going to sail inside Banco Gorda off of Nicaragua where most go far outside. Unfortunately, after the first night, Rui and I got separated, so I was on my own with my crew member with no sailing experience who just needed a ride out of Honduras to clear her visa. Follow along as we navigate through these pirate infested waters on our way south around Honduras and Nicaragua.
