In the middle of nowhere, in an area where there used to be a river beach, there is now an old water park that was never completed. The project dates back to 2007 and was both grandiose and megalomanic: an investment of more than 20 million euros, which consisted of several pools, slides, gardens, discos, a bowling, restaurants, bars and a hotel, are now, 13 years later, left as the derelict ruins of what should have been the perfect holiday resort.

It would have been one the largest water parks in the country and one of the first indoor water parks in the Iberian Peninsula.

There was also the idea of ​​creating a campsite close to the water park. But the project was too ambitious and along the way it lost support from the state and Portuguese banking.

During the construction of the park, irregularities were detected in the process and the project ended up being stopped. Investors are still hoping to get the financing to finish building the water park and sincerely, we hope they can.
