Hiking Qilai Mountain 奇萊山 in ONE DAY! Taroko National Park | Taiwan's 100 Peaks

We hiked Qilai Mountain 奇萊山, the 15th tallest peak in Taiwan. Located in Taroko National Park, Qilai Mountain sits at 11,834 feet (3,607 m) and is on the list of Taiwan's 100 peaks over 10,000 feet.

We hiked Qilai's North Peak in one day in March 2023. The North Peak is often called, “Black Qilai” due to the largest number of accidental deaths on the mountain. Hiking to Qilai's main peak is a popular multi-day backpacking trip.
