Just 4 kilometers from the city center, this beach is located on the west coast of Málaga city, between the coastal areas of San Andrés and La Misericordia. The beach is 700 meters long and 15 meters wide on average and is made up of very dark sand and gravel.

It receives this name from Eduardo Huelin Reissig, the person who designed the neighborhood and made large investments in the middle of the industrial revolution. Originally it was a humble neighborhood, but after the construction of the Paseo Marítimo de Antonio Machado and Huelin Park, it has become a highly acclaimed leisure area.
