Over the Christmas holiday, I decided to leave Lisbon where I didn't have friends or family, to head to a country where everything would be open and life would be normal.

It was my first time ever in Marrakesh, in Morocco, and in the continent of Africa. I had only two full days for activities but made the most of it by shopping in the medina, taking a sunset camel ride in the Atlas Mountains and also spending time just lounging by the Dar Sofil pool, soaking up the warm sun.

I can't wait to go back and spend more time delving deeper into this fascinating and beautiful place.
