Romance de Amor - ORIGINAL - classical guitar

'Romance De Amor' is played here in its original and best known form - with apreggios. Romance de Amor is also known as Spanish Ballad, Romance d'amour, Romanza Espanol, Spanish Romance, Romance Anonimo and Romanza. There are many other variations on these titles. In 1952, this piece was featured as the theme song in the movie Jeux Interdits (Forbidden Games). Nobody knows who composed it but one theory is that it was a pre Spanish Inquisition Jewish song. The Sephardic Jews had been in the Iberian Peninsular (Spain and Portugal) since biblical times. Whatever its origins, this evergreen melody is probably the most recognisable classical guitar piece of all time.
